Christmas Dinner



I made the whole Christmas dinner last night, this is not the first year I have done this so I basically do the same dishes every year. I do Ina Garten's Celery Root and Apple Puree which is really great, here is the recipe. It goes really well with the heartiness of the steak. I made a fillet mignon roast with Sage, Rosemary and thyme. Picture above is steak with puree and parsley garnish with a little truffle oil. I also made parsnips with truffle Parmesan and sage, I wish I had a picture to show you, but I have to admit I forgot to take pictures on the actually night so I had to take a picture of the leftovers and that piece of steak and the little bit of puree were all that was left, so I re-created the plate. I also made chestnut soup to start with, that recipe was from Epicurious, and you can get the recipe here. I hope all of you had a great christmas eve!
